When do we need to change bulbs in the UV lamp?

It is important to change the bulbs time to time in our UV lamp. The used bulbs cure the material more slowly and only partially. Not well cured nails might lift, turn bubbly or get matte what create you a bad reputation among the clients.

How do we know when we need to change the bulbs?

UV lamp

The question is simple, so does the answer.

Most nail techs use the Top Shine gel to give the final shine to the Nails. This material, what gives a beautiful shine can help us to show when the “bulb change time” arrives.

The cure time of Top Shine in a normal 4x9W lamp is about 2 minutes.

After 2 minutes you have to check the UV lamp bulbedges of the nails (especially the little finger and the thumb), if they remain sticky or get matte after the application of cuticle oil, it means the cure time is not enough. So we have to keep on curing in order to get perfect nails.

When the cure time of shine gel reaches 3 minutes, you have to change the bulbs.
